Can a 16 year old get a butt-lift?

My "butt" has been a burden all through middle and the beginning of high school for me, i've been teased because of it and my self-esteem is almost to the point of non existent. My mom recently got her butt-lift because apparently flat butts runs in our genes, I'm mentally old enough and i understand the risks with outcomes. living in miami i feel like an outcast around all these girls, I've been thinking about this for years and i'd like to know a doctor's opinion.

Thank you for your question. I would recommend that you wait until the age of 18 to undergo this surgery. Your body is still developing and may still change. The BBL creates a big change on your body and you have to be mentally ready for this. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your question.  Because you are a minor, you would need to have parental consent and clearance.  You might still be growing and not benefit fully from the surgery.  The Brazilian butt lift removes fat from areas of your body such as your sides, back, and abdomen and transfers it to your buttocks. Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
You should be at least 18 years old to be a candidate for plastic surgery. 
In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

You will qualify for the procedure when you are 18 years old but more importantly is to make sure that you are understanding the procedure and the recovery phase. When you are of age seek a plastic surgeon who has

Wait until you are 18 years old before having a fat transfer to your buttocks.    You will be fully developed than and your surgeon can make better decisions and do a better job.   My Best, Dr C
