Its my fourth day of buccal fat removal. Very swollen. Any suggestions?

The first day or the surgery i wasnt swollen at all. The second day my cheeks started to get bigger and at the third day a little bit more. Its my fourth day of buccal fat removal and the swelling on the right cheek its only getting worse. I feel it very hard when i touch it. Is it normal? i cant move alot this part and I am worried. How much will my cheeks take to have the normal size again?!! Thank you

Buccal fat cannot be transferred to other areas of the face or lips due to the risk of infection. Buccal fat removal exposes the buccal fat to oral bacteria, and therefore contaminates the fat. Fat to be transferred to the face must be sterile to prevent infection

Significant cheek swelling that last for several months after buccal fat removal is unlikely to be associated with an infection. If the swelling is not associated with fever, redness or purulent discharge from the incision, it is not an infection. This swelling is more likely secondary to...
