I realise theres nothing very wrong with my face but I just think I would look so much better if my face were leaner and more chisseled looking. I hate how the lower part of my cheek looks babyish and rounded due to the fat on it despite having a normal chin and jawline. Would buccal fat removal work for this? if it was just removed form the lower cheek wold it work without making me look older/hollow faced?
Answer: Possibly A buccal fat removal procedure can provide slimming in the lower face, in the lower anterior cheek region specifically. It can also help create more definition in the lower face depending on the overall bone and underlying tissue structure of the face. Based on your photos, it is possible that you are a suitable candidate for this procedure. It is best to consult a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person and discuss your goals and options after a physical examination.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey

Answer: Buccal fat removal, best candidates, costs Generally speaking, yes you are a candidate for buccal fat removal (based on your photos). The best candidates are young, healthy, have a family tendency toward fat cheeks, and are normal weight. The procedure is quick, easy to recover from and incisions are hidden inside the mouth. We perform about 10- 12 buccal fat removal procedures a year, which is a good number of cases and costs are very reasonable with this outpatient procedure. Consult w/ a board certified Facial Plastic Surgeon or Oral Surgeon for best results. You want a doctor with experience in this area.

Answer: Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon Based on your photos, you already have a well-defined, slim facial shape without excess fat. Buccal fat pad excision may produce the results you want. It looks like you may have a very minimal amount of excess fat on your lower cheeks, and a good excision may provide the chiseled look you want. Because of your youth and your strong jaw line, your results wouldn't make you look old; however, I urge you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure. They can perform an in-person examination of your face and give you an idea of what the results would look like. Best wishes.
