Can fat transfer be used to increase fat to buccal fat pad?

Fat could be potentially be transferred to the face to restore the facial volume that could have been affected by facial surgery like buccal fat removal 

Thank you for your question.  Yes, fat transfer can be performed to help restore the volume loss from buccal fat removal.  Fat can be injected in microaliquots to your medial/ lateral cheeks to replenish the lost volume.  Sometimes one session may not be enough and you may require touch ups.  You may also try hyaluronic acid based fillers if you want something temporary just to see if you like the results.   Best wishes. Goretti H. RWD: yes it is possible to add volume back to that area. I would start with a temporary filler something like Juvederm to see how it looks because if for some reason it doesn't work out, you can melt the Juvederm in the office. If the Juvederm achieves the desired change, I would then consider fat grafting.  You have to remember that fat grafting is a bit unpredictable and you may need a second treatment.  Also, if you gain significant weight, the grafted fat will grow and you might then be TOO full on that side, so if you do fat grafting you are committing to a relatively stable weight.  Instead of fat you could do a permanent filler like Bellafill also but again do a temporary filler liker Juvederm or Restylane first.  Best of luck.
