What you are describing is more likely a reaction to the cleansing/antiseptic agent or the topical anesthetic. I doubt it is anything too serious. I would suggest you call your doctor and ask a few questions about what was applied (perhaps it is a different product and you are sensitive to it). If it is not better in a day, I would get checked out.

Redness immediately after Sculptra is likely related to the topical numbing cream or cleaning solution irritating the skin. It is way too early for an infection, which is extremely rare with Sculptra. I would discuss with your provider and consider a topical steroid cream and moisturizer. Infection would be very tender, associated with a fever, and more swelling.
