Not much fluid at all. I am home 6 hours post op. We drove for and hour and a half then I also had to go up stairs when we got home. The nurse at the hospital they would be full and need to be drained by now. There is only a few drops. Is this ok?

Answer: Drainage The amount of drainage expected is quite variable, and expectations are not alway correct. Reassurance that everything is ok is better received from your own surgeon, so any concerns are appropriately directed there. All the best.

Answer: No draining from tummy tuck drains It is best to contact your surgeon directly to inform him/her of the fact that not much is draining. That can be normal (we don't use drains) but if your surgeon was expecting fluid in the drains and there is nothing there, it could indicate the drains are not funcitoning properly. It is best to make a phone call and get a direct answer from your surgeon. Good luck in recovery.The link below shows a fully healed tummy tuck patient in which no drains were used.
