Is it possible for me to have a vaginoplasty revision?

I am a mum of two kids and had vaginoplasty in 2018 after my youngest turned 6. Initially it was great but deteriorated quickly. I have vaginal carnal laxity visible when looking with a mirror. I have minimal sensation during sex and it is distressing. I am 41 years old. I have tried kegels and Emsella and it’s have not worked. Is it possible to have another vaginoplasty?

The word vaginoplasty originally meant making a new vagina but technically the word can be used to mean "any plastic surgery of the vagina". Therefore, surgeons are performing a variety of procedures and calling them "vaginoplasty". The quality of your results will depend on which of these procedures are used, the quality of your surgeon and the quality of your tissues. The vagina is like a six sided tube: Orifice or entrance, apex, upper side(bladder), lower side(rectum) and two lateral sides. Each of these areas must be addressed and are repaired differently. In addition, You can think of the inner vagina as a steel belted tire with a firm underlayer (fascia) like a steel belt giving it shape and form, and an outer layer (mucosa) like the tread which is flexible and has the grooves (rugae) to give friction. When the steel belt is torn there is bulging of the tread which increases the surface area and smoothes out the grooves (prolapse). The technique used to repair the fascia will determine the success of the repair. "Site specific defect repair" (by individually repairing each of the tears) will typically give a stronger and more permanent result than other techniques but is more recent , can take a little longer and is unfortunately less commonly performed. So yes you can have another procedure but it is important to do your homework: read reviews, look at photos , check out the specific training etc to achieve the results you want.
