Umbilical Hernia - Could I still do Emsculpt on my abdomen area?

Hi, I have an umbilical hernia, it's filled with fat therefore it cannot burst. I still go to the gym but I do not recall my doctor saying if whether I can go or not. I am on the waiting list to get it removed but its been a year now and I am still waiting. Could I still do Emsculpt on my abdomen area?

I would advise against this for your safety. Hernia of any kind in the treatment area is a reason to not treat with EmSculpt or EmSculpt Neo. I'd also be concerned about the effect on the fat within the hernia. The treatment results in burst fat cells, which in this case would be within the herniated area that may not be removed optimally by your body through lymphatics and circulation. I think the risk of injury would be too high unfortunately.

Hi there and thanks for your question!You are fine to have Emsculpt Neo treatments with an umbilical hernia. The treatment will not close the hernia, but it won't hurt it either.As always, be sure to arrive well hydrated for treatments, and drink lots of fluid afterwards to help flush away the fat!
