I cannot express how happy I am with my experience from start to now, one month post op. From Dr. Gallagher’s bedside manner at my consultation and surgery to taking the time to answer my every question, to the fabulous results I have thus far; I thank you for exceeding my expectations. Cassandra is great as well, she was there for my pre and post op appointment; very knowledgeable as well and super friendly. Wouldn’t think twice to recommend friends and family to Island Plastic surgery!
I recently went to Dr. Gallagher's Office and was treated by Cassandra Trimarco. She took care of my spider veins and did a fantastic job. Her treatment was very effective and I got great results. Cassandra is very professional and does great work!
I was born with a cleft lip 36 years ago. I had many surgeries but it wasn't until I found Dr Gallagher at age 20 that my life was forever changed. She reconstructed my lips and made them as perfect as they could be. She gave me a lip line and added fat to make then nice and juicy. Thank you
After few disappointments from some other doctors, who consider themselves experts in this fields, I finally found Dr. Gallagher, who is a true top plastic surgeon. Not only was she able to revise a part of my body from a past bad lipo, but she also gave me the figure that I was trying to achieve with no lumps or dents! She’s truly amazing at what she does! She’s also very honest and will not encourage you to do more surgeries or certain treatments if you don't need them. All of her staff is very nice and professional, Cassandra in particular, who is part of her surgical team is also a great vein specialist! My only regret is that I didn’t find them sooner!
I think I see a difference- not sure this was worth $750 honestly. My tummy def feels flatter but after the procedure I had abdominal pain that lasted about 12 days. It was pretty severe. I had to get a lidocaine patch to help relieve the pain. I might do it again but I don't feel like the results were worth the price.
In May of 2015 after 3 years of research I finally had my breast aug/mastopexy (lift) done by Dr. Gallagher. I had done plenty of doctor browsing and when a friend referred her I figured I would give it a shot. As soon as I met her I felt she was the right fit for me, as she is a real person and makes you feel very comfortable. Dr. Gallagher and her staff including Cassandra ( her PA ) , Maria and Jen were all so helpful and patient with all my questions and concerns and were there to answer all of them. I am so happy with my decision to go with Dr. Gallagher and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in the process of choosing their doctor !!
Dr. Gallagher is an amazing woman and an expert plastic surgeon . She is very aware of problems on ur face i never met anyone so detailed and so caring. THere is no other surgeon like her. She is with you from the beginning until the end and then some. I highly recommend her for any type of surgery. I am so happy with the results.
It took a long time for me to want to get this procedure of fat transferring to breast. My husbands female relatives always made comments about me being petite and my size 32A breast. I was then 105 lbs and thin. They were very large and heavy breasted women. I never ridiculed them. I believed that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. My husband never made a comment to me so I left it alone. I looked pretty empty in bathing suits and was embarrassed to wear anything showing cleavage in front of his family or our friends. It wasn't until I had three kids in a ten year span and breast fed them that I then increased to a 36C. I was densed on the top portion of my breast and again I looked deflated. I felt that I owed this to myself. Something for me after raising three children., I wanted to look good. I also did a TT which makes your breast look better. If you see my comments with Kimmers 25 I describe more. The lipo is what still bothers me although it is getting better. The doctor used 400cc on each breast. They were huge, swollen and black and blue. The surgical bra was tight. I was glad that I bought a sport bra with me to change at the hospital. Everything my doctor told me to do, I followed. She is the greatest. We text back and forth with any concerns that I had. She did a great job. This is my 12th week. I healed after 3 weeks. I posted also under BethH as she is the fat transfer to breast coordinator with vitamins that I used and ointments. My doctor took before and after pix. The after pix are at 10 weeks. I guess by 6 months then a year they will take more pix. It will be posted on Realself under her name. I love this site and enjoy reading everyone's comments. I wish good luck to those considering this procedure. I am currently a 36D. It isn't big and feels and is very natural to me. Wether you want to go bigger or smaller doesn't matter. What matters is what pleases you. What you are happy with. I am very satisfied. Good luck to all. Updated on 16 May 2015: Hi, I am sorry for not updating sooner. I went for my 6 month & 1 week checkup. Checkup went well;however I had some concerns with the tummy tuck incision area. The scar is red, flat on the ends but the middle of it protrudes like two. Small hills with a small valley in the middle where it's a little flat. The pa said to keep massaging with bio oil, watch diet, some yoga with my exercise. She wants the doctor to check it in 3 or less months. If it doesn't go away by then or if they want me to wait for the year checkup and it's still there it might have to be opened and re stitched. I hope not. I hope it flattens by then, I have been watching my diet, I walk over an hour daily, I do tummy & waist exercise and added yoga 3 or more times as time permits. Also my upper tummy area still has a ridge. When I turned sideways it bellows out slightly. It did get better. They said that takes time. The lipo ares are still healing some have disappeared. My breast fat transfer is about the same. I didn't loose much. In some bras I am a 36D others DD depends on bra.i have light numbness on TT incision area, hips swell a little at night. Pa took 6 mo pix. When they post it on doctors site I will let all know. My doctor had lots of pix but none of mommy makeover w fat transfer to breast. I guess a lot of women didn't want it posted. Mine will be. I guess they will do it at 1 yr anniversary. I will ask pa if she could send me all pix and maybe I can post it sooner. Sorry for delays on pix. Good luck to all considering any procedure that will make you happy. Weather it's big or small we are all supportive of each other. Love this site. Updated on 21 Aug 2015: In a few days it will be ten months. Here is my update: My current weight is 131 lbs I am 5 ft 4 in. Bra size 36 DD mostly. Some 36 D. The top portion of my breast went down a little. I lost some fat but not much.. Pants size 6. Again depends on manufacturer. Doctor suggested I get skin tight therapy to improve elasticity around stomach area. There is some dimpling. Not a lot. Starting this therapy next week. May need five treatments. September 10 th is when I meet again with my doctor who will then decide what to do about my two little bumps on the TT incision line. It could be some accumulated fat that May have to be removed. Will keep you posted on this, I had a mammogram and sonogram in early August. They found some cyst in both breast. I had two on one and one in the other about 18 years ago which were aspirated. These so far don't have to be. Just monitoring. In the meantime pa wants me to apply lugols iodine 2 per cent. I can apply topically a few times a week and apply four drops to a cup of water and drink daily to help with cyst. They recommended a good Integrative doctor which I am making an appointment with. I am confident that everything will turn out ok. I am continuing with my daily exercise of walking 1 1/2 daily, abs and waist exercises with Pilates. I try to eat healthy everyday. I do slip up here and there. If I eat too much salt, my body knows it. I feel the swelling. I still get numbness here and there in the tummy area. The back lipo areas are fine. My pa says my pix will be posted soon. Happy healing to all and good luck as well. Will updated after September 10th.
Dr. Gallagher is the best plastic surgeon around. She pays attention to detail and knows how to make things look tasteful and natural. I am very thrilled with my results and couldn't have asked for anything better. She is very friendly and every appointment is a joy. I would definitely recommend her 110%

Thank you for your question! The treatment is 30 minutes long and its recommended to do 4 treatments over two weeks one day apart at least, plus two maintenance treatments two months later. What I can recommend would be propping your head on a pillow to help with the acid reflux. You don't need to lay completely flat.
Thank you for your question! There is no research done to prove safe, so my recommendation would be no.
The you for your question! As long as your tattoos are fully healed it is safe to do the treatment. There is no contraindication for tattoos with this treatment.
Yes! We love fat grafting for our patients, assuming they are a good candidate for the procedure. At your consultation, the surgeon will discuss your desired result, examine your breasts and body for fat harvest with estimations of amount of fat able to be transferred to breasts, and formulate a surgical plan accordingly. We agree it is very safe and effective means of enlarging the breasts, it just depends on the available fat to transfer and if that correlates to your desired result.
There is no contraindication to having breast implants prior to having children. Because you have not tried to breast feed yet, if you have difficulty after having the implants in, it may not be the reason. So you will still be allowed to breast feed, but we are unable to assess your ability to breast feed until you need to. Most patients don't have issues with breastfeeding after implantation.
