Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles. The red will fade unless you tan, and then it will turn brown. I would suggest using scar products for best results.

Unfortunately once there is an injury to the skin, either from trauma or a procedure, a scar will form. Scars never completely go away but they will lighten and fade with time. You can try scars gels and silicone sheets to help with the appearance but the best treatment is time. Also try to remember to apply SPF to the area. Scars do not darken or tan like native skin does so the surrounding skin may darken but the scar won't and this may make the scar look more pronounced.
