Will dermal fillers help my nose or make it look bigger? (Photos)

Question

I have a dorsal hump and a mildly wide and bifid nose tip. My nose is not really big and I’ve never been bothered by it, I’m still not, however since my recent introduction to fillers and Botox I have realised there is a whole world of opportunity and potential to explore haha. Would fillers improve the balance of my nose or just make it look wider? My main objective is to even out the hump.

Hello, and thank you for providing photos along with your question. Dermal fillers are an effective non-surgical approach to altering nose shape and improving asymmetries. But keep in mind that as its name suggests, “fillers” will fill in an area to add volume. It cannot reduce the shape of the nose. However, fillers can be used on the nasal bridge to camouflage the bump to create a smoother appearance. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with an extensive experience with injectables. Your surgeon can do a proper evaluation of your nose and profile, recommend and customize the best treatment plan for you, and ensure the best possible results.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty would be able to create a straighter profile and frontal view for your nose. The limitation with nonsurgical rhinoplasty is that it can only add volume, but can not take any away. By slightly raising the bridge of your nose above the hump it will camouflage the hump. With regards to the tip of the nose, some degree of refinement is possible as well. A rhinoplasty specialist will be able to comprehensively address the issues you have with your nose. While there are a variety of approaches and techniques employed by various surgeons, it is up to you to do your due diligence to find a rhinoplasty specialist in order to achieve the best results possible.
