Hello; I had my upper eyelids done Wednesday (8/8/14) morning. I'm seeing daily improvement with swelling & bruising. I used ice packs almost 24/7 for first 48 hours & on & off since then. At what point should I switch to warm compresses, or do I even need to continue ice and/or warm compresses? Also using Arnicare Gel on bruises and Refresh Lacri-Lube on stitches. Thanks Here's my photos from today, Saturday 8/9/14.

Answer: Upper eyelid surgery 3 days ago (8/6/14). When should I switch (or should I?) from ice to warm compresses?
At 16 days postop, you are still healing and may have swelling which distorts the shape. If you have thicker skin, this can take time to resolve. Please be patient. You can discuss your concerns with your surgeon at your next postoperative visit.
This is a good question. Ptosis usually results from the levator muscle loosening or stretching. Rarely it is from underlying weak muscle. Neither case is going to improve with any muscle exercising. The only real treatment is tightening the muscle to make it "stronger"....
This type of suture line scar may or may not have anything to do with a granuloma which is typically a reaction the body has to foreign material. It is normal for the incision to form scar. This is precisely how the body is supposed to heal. Your reaction is not abnormal....
