I'm not sure if you mean to administer Botox yourself. If so, I don't recommend it. Botox should only be administered by a board certified doctor. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
This is a website that offers patient advice, not a "how to" seminar for individuals who wish to self inject. My advice is that you see a core trained Physician experienced in Botox and leave those details to him/her.
Thank you for your question. The difference between 90 units and 100 units of Botox is only 0.25 mL. Are you removing the outer metal ring and stopper - and (with sterile technique) drawing the remaining product up through (at least) a 1" needle? We always "crack" the lid of the Botox vial in this manner in order to withdraw every little drop of product, and not waste any precious units.
Thank you for your question. Please contact your local Botox rep/ or Allergan if you a physician. This forumis for patients only. You should not be diluting or using Botox if you are nota physician.
Hi EJ283,The nebulous information you have provided allows two possible conclusions. First you are a physician asking for advice through a patient oriented portal when in fact you would need to speak with an Allergan Representative for this advice and training. Being a registered physician with Allergan would be the only legal way to obtain the Botox in the first place. Second: You are not a physician and planning on self injecting which would mean you are obtaining what is supposed to be Botox from another source other than Allergan which would make it most likely bogus. Self injecting is not recommended nor is using Botox obtained by means other than through Allergan. No advice can be given to you for these reasons other than have your Botox injected by a physician trained to do so.
Thanks doe your question – first and foremost – are you a physician with Botox or a patient? If you are a patient you should not be able to purchase Botox and if you bought it somewhere outside the US, then it is probably not real Botox. Patients cannot buy Botox so immediately we get nervous when we read something like this. If you are a physician, you need to connect with your rep = and learn how to do things correctly. But from this reading, if you are a patient with Botox, then it may not be real and this is something that you should not have.
I am not sure whether you are a doctor or not but if not you should not even have Botox in your possession. If you are, contact your local Allergan representative for help
I really recommend that you avoid administering Botox if you are not a trained provider. There are many anatomical structures to be cautious about while injecting Botox. Please consult with a Board Certified Dermatologist for evaluation and treatment.
Thank you for your question. If you intend to treat yourself with Botox I would discourage that as it is best to be treated by a board certified Dermatologist for proper outcome. Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
If you are a physician and are having issues with dilution, please contact your local Botox rep and/or Allergan. This forum is for patients. If you are not a physician, you should not be diluting or using Botox!"This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. Seek in-person treatment with a trained medical professional for appropriate care."
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can have Botox and fillers done even if you get a steroid injection for swelling. However, it is always best to inform both of your physicians to be safe. Best of Luck!
What you are describing is not familiar as one of the Botox side effects. I do not believe that this is related to your Botox injection. I advise you to get apportionment with your family doctor for congestion. Good luck!
Dear iamamermaid: Chewing immediately after Botox is injected works the masseter muscles and at least theoretically may increase the uptake of Botox by the neuromuscular junctions such that more Botox is taken up and less diffuses away. But excessive chewing, such as chewing gum for hours a d...
