Am I having an adverse reaction after having laser hair removal treatment?

I just had laser hair removal treated on my full legs. I have had 5 treatments prior and have never expierenced this, I have realised when I got home my upper thighs have really red circles which looks like the gauge of the laser. I’m not sure if I’m having an adverse reaction. I have not been in the sun at all and I am not on any medication.

It may be an allergic reaction or some temporary folliculitis which is irritation and inflammation of the hair follicles. You can try some hydrocortisone cream on those areas and some oral Benadryl, both over the counter treatments. If it does not resolve or worsens within a couple of days, I would call your provider as you may have to be seen or placed on a short course of antibiotics.

Thank you for your question. From your photo, this appears to be either an allergic reaction or folliculitis which is irritation and inflammation of the hair follicles. Your look like you had an allergic reaction.  It could have been to the jelly that some lasers need, or else a post treatment product that was applied.   Go see a board certified dermatologist for treatment.  Try to find out what products were used on your skin.  Allergic reactions often appear even after you have previously tolerated a product.
