I had my eyes tattooed decades ago and the colour may have had lead in it. Is the treatment safe for someone who may have lead in their eyeliner tattoo? Thanks.

Answer: Thermage Safety Thermage is safe for patients with many autoimmune conditions but the medications must be considered and the patient should definitely be in remission. Thermage does not produce good results in patients on NSAIDS and steroids must be another consideration. The pigment in your eyeliner will not be a problem, but that area should not be exposed to the treatment tip. I would recommend staying at least 1 cm from the tattooed area. All the best. Answer: Thermage and lupus Yes, it is safe to have RF treatments if you have an autoimmune condition. Your immunologist should clear you before Theramage. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
