Lip injection won't dissolve in 5 years, advice?

Hi, i had lip injections overseas 5 years ago and until now it hasn't moved or dissolved at all, i am very worried since they are sitting 5 years in my lips and am not sure if this may cause complications or problems for me in the future such as cancers ... At the time i was told they are non permanent and would disappear within 18 months Should i be worried about this? what is the best way to resolve this issue?

Hi Shirene,From 20%-80% of fat injected may not develop blood vessels and eventually die. Also, swelling may take weeks to resolve.The downtime is terrible but results are more permanent. You have to wait until the swelling subsides before doing anything definite.All the best, Justin Harper, M.D.
