Prior to my BA I was a deflated C cup, breast diameter measuring at 12. I’m pretty petite, about 5’1 - 5’2. 2 weeks post op I decided to go get bust measured - out of curiosity, I was shocked to hear that I was measuring at 8E! That’s well beyond what I agreed to! I told my surgeon I’d be ok with a D, DD at the most! I didn’t feel swollen then, is it possible that I’m stuck being an 8E? Ironically I got the BA so my clothes would fit better, now anything that needs to be zipped up doesn’t fit!

Answer: Cup size! Hi and thanks for your question.I warn people not to get sized for a bra until 6 weeks postoperatively. You are likely still swollen and things will continue to change. True cup size is supposed to be the difference in inches from your chest circumference to your breast circumference. However, every bra manufacturer and specialty shop is slightly different. For your breast base and height a 295cc implant sound quite reasonable.Hope this helps!

Answer: How much is 295cc 's really? Hello and thank you for your question. First of all, two weeks post operatively, you are still swollen and your implants haven't settled into their pockets yet, so don't get measured until at least 6 weeks post op. If you are 5'1-5'2, (don't know your weight), and wanted a D-DD, chances are that you won't be able to fit in to clothing as easily as before.

Answer: Bra size is a poor parameter to judge post operative results All bra manufacturers differ in their sizing "formulas". The final bra size is not important. What is really important is the look after your surgery, "is this the look you were desiring?" If it is, then the actual bra size is immaterial, you will be able to find plenty of bras to fit you.Wait at least 6 weeks for the swelling to subside and then reassess the result, if you are not happy, a revision procedure can always be performed.

Answer: Way to soon to tell After breast augmentation, there is a healing process that takes at least six weeks to occur in regards to the final result in shape and size. Cup size is very subjective but the implant size you mention does not seem excessive. There are many factors involved in implant size and dimension selection but at this point I would advise you to sit down with your surgeon to talk through your concerns and develop a plan to address them.
