hii, I got like 6 laser genesis in a year's time, what I have been noticing is that my face has gotten redder and it's way more sensitive than before, I stop the treatment a month ago, I don't see any healing improvement in my face since I stop, does it take more time, should I be able to see my skin getting normal again in a 6 month time maybe, thanks for your help, I appreciate it
Answer: Redness - Not Laser Genesis Thank you for your question and I am sorry that you have had the feelings of redness and sensitivity. My recommendation is for you to see a dermatologist since you are still experiencing complications, as you should not have any downtime or major discomfort with Genesis.

Answer: Doesn't sound like Genesis After reading your questions, I have some concerns if what you had done was actually Genesis. Some clinics may advertise the "Genesis" but may not offer a genesis like procedure. The Genesis treatment itself is FDA approved to diffuse redness in the skin which is exactly the opposite of what you describe. The Genesis provides no downtime at all and is a comfortable treatment that doesn't require any "healing" as you also describe. Might I ask what your sun expose has been following the treatments. Any time a laser procedure is done, the skin can be more sensitive to sun expose. If you are exposed to sun after a treatment, you are more likely to develop sun damage which can appear as redness. This sun damage can happy even with minimal exposure such as driving in a car for an hour on a sunny day without vitamin C or sunscreen. If you feel your skin is more red following the treatment, this could be the reason. Results from the Genesis can also vary. Collagen is the slowest to remodel in the skin. It can take patients several months to obtain full results from just one treatment. It is important to understand this Genesis results are progressive for this reason. Although most patients experience an instant tightness and minimizes pores..the deeper wrinkles and overall tone of the skin can take longer to achieve. Patience is key but is worth it. Genesis is a great treatment for slowing the aging process down and can be done on a regular basis or including into your age prevention routine. There is no downtime with this treatment which makes it an attractive treatment for most. If you are looking for a more instant gratification treatment, I would suggest micro-needling or Pearl. Best of luck!!!

Answer: Post treatment redness The fact that you have stopped treatment yet are still experiencing redness leads me to believe that the issue is not the laser genesis. I would schedule an appointment with your dermatologist. You could be having an allergic reaction to a cream or medication that you are using.
