Creepy skin on arm near armpits?

Question

I've noticed that I have creepy, cellulite skin on the underside of my upper arm on only 1 arm. I did loose 7 pounds 6 months ago. I was not overweight at any time. I had lipo on my arms about 20 years ago and had nice toned arms until now. I am very selfcontious with this unattractive change as I wear sleeveless clothes during the summer. Would any lasers work for this? Do I need any more liposuction? I have thin arms so can't imagine removing any more fat helping this situation.

Crepey skin can develop from loss of fat from weight loss, liposuction and aging skin over time. Resurfacing, Ablative and Non-Ablative, lasers in a series work to aid in collagen remodeling and help tighten the outer layer of loose skin.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

There are definitely many skin tightening treatments out on the market today. Our office has two treatments that may provide options for your area of concern. The Titan skin tightening treatment treats loose skin by targeting the collagen that has lost it's elasticity and causing it to tighten back up, while also stimulating new collagen. The other treatment option is Trusculpting. Trusculpting permanently destroys about 20-25% of the fat cells present in the treated area and also tightens the surrounding skin. Both of these treatments are meant to be done in a series, depending on how much fat and/or skin laxity is present. It is best to meet with a qualified medical provider to consult on which treatment options are best for you.

It is difficult to determine what procedure would be the best for you without seeing photos.  There are many non invasive procedures which will tighten skin. In my office we use the lutronic infini or exillis.  If there is a lot of laxity of the skin a surgical procedure may be your best option.  I would suggest you consult an experienced provider who can assess you and discuss the best way to proceed.
