Can I use Profound RF to melt 4 CC's of fat transferred to my jaw line?

I had 4cc's of fat transferred to my jawline. I'm 1 week post op. I still have swelling. I have a big feeling I will not like the results. In case I don't can I do Profound RF to melt the fat?

Early on there is swelling from fat placement which will diminish on its own (though not necessarily in a week!)Typically only part of the fat will "survive", so please allow some time to see the final outcome over the next few months.

At one week after fat transfer it is expected for you to have considerable swelling so the first thing you need to do is to be patient and allow the fat to settle into place and swelling to subside.  If there are still contours you do not like, Profound can be an effective fat removal option.

In  my opinion, you need to wait several months to let the fat settle. If you feel you want to recontour the area, profound RF in the long pulse mode may be helpful.

Our practice was one of the early adopters for the Profound RF technology and we have had a lot of experience using it. Regarding you question, can fat be melted with Profound RF? The temperature of Profound RF can be manually adjusted to treat a wide variety of facial contour irregularities. We will often increase the temperature and duration of each pulse to decrease heaviness in the jowl area to produce a more pronounced jaw line. With that said, you are only one week post op and it takes some time before you will realize the final result from your fat transfer. My recommendation is that you wait for at least 4-6 months before undergoing any corrective procedure.
