There are a number of RF microneedling devices to choose from. What's most important is what you want to achieve. But if you are averse to downtime, your options become more limited. The level of results is basically dependent on the temperature levels that can be reached in the skin. Superficial issues can be treated with lower temperatures and less penetration. Because of this, a more superficial treatment such as Vivace will have less downtime. (Though these lower heat level devices typically require multiple sessions.)Treatments in which the goal is to create a more substantial change such as contour and deep skin involvement will deliver higher temperatures in a tightly controlled manner. This results in more "intentional wounding" which results in a longer duration of recovery. With Profound, it's reasonable to factor in about a week of social downtime. Lesser swelling may last longer.Any medically delivered energy treatment comes with "shoulds" during recovery and part of the downtime different patients experience is dependent upon how well you adhere to the dos and don'ts from your physician. Such as don't go to the gym or sauna for go running on treatment day, get recommended rest with elevation, don't drink alcohol, eat healthy foods, lessen salt intake, etc. Expect swelling and some bruising with Profound. Give yourself about 6 months to see the best effects.
Thanks for sharing. Both are radiofrequency microneedling devices however, the Profound RF is a more intense treatment with more results but also more recovery. The Profound RF needles penetrate deeper to deliver the proper amount of heat needed to induce collagen formation and skin tightening. The Vivace is a more superficial treatment. Both devices are great depending on what is desired.
Hi there,Although Profound RF and Vivace both use micro needling radio frequency, they are not the same. Profound can penetrate deeper and more successfully into the skin, while Vivace is more superficial. That being said- Profound is the only modality that can produce new elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid in the skin. Vivace can only help to rejuvenate the superficial layers of skin. I suggest an in clinic consultation with your local service provider to review your skin concerns. They'll determine the best treatment plan for you.
Both are technically microneedling but Profound reaches much deeper and is more controlled. The results from Profound RF in my experience are superior to all other microneedling procedures. It is more than textural improvement, it stimulates your body to make collagen and elastin for the next 3 - 6 months.
No, these are not the same. Vivace is more similar to Fractora, which is radio frequency out of small needle pin tips. The radio frequency heats the underlying treated skin to about 45 degrees Celsius. Profound is also radio frequency but the needle inserts are larger and much, much deeper. They heat to over 60 degrees Celsius. Profound has a 100% response rate meaning that all treated patients get some change in their elastin, collagen, and hyaluronic acid on some levels. The same cannot necessarily be said about the other machines. Although I will say from experience with both Profound and Fractora and training for both, results are VERY MUCH provider dependent.
