Does profound RF micro needling cause Hyperpigmentation? How long will it be before I get a even skin tone? (photo)

Hello, I recently had Profound RF Micro-needling done by a plastic surgeon to reduce my acne scars. I did not see any Hyperpigmentation after the treatment. 3 weeks after the treatment I suddenly started noticing PIH on my cheek bones. Does profound RF micro needling cause Hyperpigmentation? How long will it be before I get a even skin tone? Thanks.
