Is it common for a nurse practitioner to perform Profound RF treatment to the back of the thighs without a doctor in the office?

Asked By:AnnabelleElise in Boston, MA

I am a fit (<12% bodyfat, marathon runner) 52 year old woman who had Profound RF treatment on the back of both thighs for skin laxity. A nurse practitioner performed the treatment without a doctor in the office and I was later told when I complained that my bruises lasted far longer than the 2-3 week expected recovery time that she had performed the procedure <12 times. Am I to be concerned, especially since one leg looked significantly worse than the other post treatment?
