Thanks for an excellent question. You will need to get clearance by your hematologist and have him/her decide what extra factor you may need to take around the time of surgery. I would also recommend you have your surgery at a facility that does have a blood bank, overnight capacity, and a general medical staff to help your surgeon if there are issues with bleeding. Good Luck.
Thank you for your question. certainly can be done, but you need to be cleared from hematologist. Some times they advice transfusion of factor before surgery. Hence will recommend to do this in a place where blood bank and hospital stay available.
Hi, Ale25. I would recommend getting the work-out and clearance from your hematologist first prior to your consultation with a plastic surgeon. Although tummy tuck can be done, you want to make sure that you are safe during and after the surgery. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon; please relay your medical history. Good luck.

Hello,Some people have a headache post anaesthetic but not 3 days later. You are more likely dehydrated. I recommend that you discuss medications you are taking and how you are feeling with your Plastic Surgeon.Take care
Hello,I suspect that you may need to wait a couple more months wearing standard, surgeon recommended compression before applying something very constrictive. I recommend that you have your Plastic Surgeon review it and advise you.Take care
Hello,I'm sorry to hear this. Drainage at this point does indicate a chronic problem which requires correction and you should not feel the need to wear a binder one year out either.I recommend that you get a second opinion, have another Doctor examine you and order imaging/lab tests to...
It is perfectly normal to have numbness or swelling after a tummy tuck which is expected to slowly have sensation return to normal after many months and even years following your surgery. Although uncommon, permanent numbness and tingling can occur after tummy tuck surgery, especially in the...
Thanks for your question. I would recommend discussing this issue with your PS since they know exactly the procedure performed, the tightness of the wound closure, etc. In my practice the majority of patients are walking normally within 5-7 days of the operation but there is variability.
