I'm experiencing frequent throbbing headaches after having a tummy tuck.

I'm 4 days post-op but the headaches have been happening so since day 3. I am wondering if I'm wearing my compression garment too tight.

Hello,Some people have a headache post anaesthetic but not 3 days later. You are more likely dehydrated.  I recommend that you discuss medications you are taking and how you are feeling with your Plastic Surgeon.Take care

Thank you for sharing your concerns.  I would recommend visiting with your plastic surgeon so they can assess you and see if the compression garment or some other source (possible dehydration?) may be source for your headaches.

Hello, the majority of my patients do not have persistent headaches many days after their surgery.  I would recommend contacting your surgeon or other physician to discuss your problem and possibly get some relief.

Pounding headaches could be a symptom of blood loss or a reaction to your pain medication or just generalized dehydration.  I would not think it is related to your garment being too tight.  See your plastic surgeon for an evaluation and testing if needed.
