I’m 6wks post-op from my TT. Everything was looking and healing fine at 4wks. 5wks a small area along my TT incision appeared to open but it wasn’t a concern. Then at 6wks dramatically changed. I emailed my PS with some pics and he said it was something to do with a dissolving stitch. To apply polysporin twice a day and bandage it. Since Sunday it has become even larger. My question is this typically something that get worse before it gets better?

Visceral fat is the internal fat behind the abdominal muscle wall that surrounds the organs. It cannot be addressed by a tummy tuck nor liposuction. However weight loss will decrease it and improve the contour of your abdomen.
Incisions may look bunched up in the early part of recovery but tend to smooth out over time. Your incision will improve as swelling resolves and healing progresses, however yours has more bunching than is typical. If it does not end up smooth you can consider a scar revision to improve it.
Seromas can be tricky. Many have to be aspirated multiple times and still some will not heal. Sometimes a drain is placed to continually drain the area and encourage the space to close. If the seroma has a capsule form around it further surgery may be needed to remove it.
