Hi I had a full tummy tuck a couple of yrs ago and my stomach seems a little lopsided and hard on the right side of my belly button. When I initially inquired about my stomach not being flat, my surgeon said I had too much visceral fat and need to lose the weight. I’ve tried but no changes since I’ve healed. In fact, it still feels a little numb in some areas. I know suggestions will be to see my surgeon but I would like a general idea of what happened and of course a second opinion. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  It is very difficult without an in-person examination of your tissues to determine what may be causing a lopsided appearance to your stomach.  Whether differential muscle laxity, natural asymmetry, increased visceral fat, fluid collection, etc, this would need to be evaluated by your surgeon.  As for the numbness after 2 years it is unlikely that much more improvement will be obtained and this was a result of the original procedure, a known risk factor for tummy tuck. Visceral fat is the internal fat behind the abdominal muscle wall that surrounds the organs.  It cannot be addressed by a tummy tuck nor liposuction.  However weight loss will decrease it and improve the contour of your abdomen.

Hello. Great question. Thank you for your picture. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. Did your tummy tuck include muscle tightening. A personal examination is needed to properly aside your abdominal bulge. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination.
