i am 3 days post op for gyno, i had vaser lipo done. the doctor took 7.5 liters out. right now i have good results on one side but the other side is only a little smaller then it was before. i am really depressed. the doctor told me dont pay attention to results for at least a couple of months. there was no bruising until today day 3. is the doctor right or am i going to need another surgery with a different doctor. i had psuedo there was no hardness in my chest

Answer: 3 days post op Hi Micheal,You trusted your surgeon to do your surgery, and my advice would be for you to trust him now that the procedure is completed. You are 72 hours post surgery and there is a lot of fluid that your surgeon likely used to extract the fat, in addition you likely have swelling etc. If you had ankle, knee or breast surgery you would not be critiquing your final results at 3 days and those same rules apply to liposuction. Be patients and follow your post op instructions your doctor gave you and re assess truly in 6 months. If you stare at the areas everyday you will drive yourself crazy.

Answer: Too Early Your surgeon was correct. Three days is too early to tell what your final results will look like. I would give it at least three months until you consider going back and seeing if there is any correction to be made. In most cases, the results settle and the tissue settles back into place.
