2 IPL treatments only made brown spots appear (that were not visible to naked eye before) but no flaking? (photos)

IPL can make brown spots more visible at first. It can take several weeks for IPL laser results to settle. I usually recommend a combination of treatments with IPL for best results. I suggest adding microneedling/prp, peels and skin care to improve skin quality and tone. IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. For my patients I recommend a series of 6 monthly treatments followed by one maintenance treatment every three months thereafter. If the pigment is in the surface layers of the skin it will get dark and flake off. When the pigment is in the deeper layers of the skin initially it appears faint or not visible at all. IPL can help bring such pigment closer to the surface, which makes it more visible. I find that when I combine IPL with fractional CO2 for my patients with such pigment the results are even better. A good skin care regimen will also benefit anyone with discolorations. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

It looks like you just need more treatments. Sometimes the IPL can bring out spots you didn't know you had. We sell our IPL treatments in a package of 3 for best results. The energy of the device may need to be increased alittle also. If the energy is correct all the brown spots would of turned darker within 24 hours. If they didn't turn darker then they will not at this point. From what I can see in the picture you may also have what is called Seborrheic Keratosis, which is too thick of a lesion for the IPL to penetrate. They need to be treated by a Dermatologist. You should also be on good skincare like a Antioxident, sunscreen and Retinol to help with skin quality.
