My surgeon used a radix graft. I just got my cast off & I think it looks weird. I 100% understand that it's swollen & will change a lot in the next few months but I was wondering, is it normal for a radix graft to stick out this much? Will my nose eventually end up looking like the simulation with a nice curve where the nose meets the forehead? I'm worried that, even if the graft gets smaller, it'll still be a straight line - will it curve over time? I look like my nose starts out of my forehead

You appear to have a pleasing nasal profile - your nose appears to start at your upper eyelash line rather than your forehead. The puffiness seen on front and oblique views may improve with time as your swelling reduces. You can't take your present appearance to be indicative of your final result.  You have a lot of swelling where that radix graft was placed, and swelling in this part of the nasal skin can take a long time to resolve. Be patient. Best wishes!  Harry V. Wright MD, Sarasota, Florida

At one week, it is far too early to predict how the graft will look.  Swelling has not even begun to subside and the nose will be changing day to day now.  Try to be patient and remember what your surgeon told you about swelling.  Make sure he/she knows your concerns.  Be patient.  Good luck
