I am a 21 year old male and I was told by 2 orthodontists that I have a 11mm overjet and I have 2 options one being extracting 2 bicuspids and my wisdom teeth along with braces. Or jaw surgery to move my bottom jaw forward and fix it completely. I’ve been thinking about what I should do for a year now. I’ve been thinking the extraction route if it would make overjet average / healthy size but I’m afraid if I do that route and not like the results I’ll have lost 2 teeth by that point. What to do?
