Hi there. My face is pretty assymetrical and I'm not sure if there is maybe one cause, or do I need to fix all asymmetry by itself. 1. My nose is tilted slightly right, sort of like a deviated septum. 2.My mouth is also slightly more on the same side as the nose. 3. I have straight teeth, my smile closes more on one side, which makes me think I may have a jaw issue or asymmetry 4. My lips are closed a bit more on left side when I smile. 5. My left eye and eyebrows are slightly higher Thank
I personally feel I have some type of unaligned bite. Along with breathing issues, snoring, and drooling. Perhaps jaw surgery could address this. My chin is also very recessed. I lack a feminine lower facial profile. I want to achieve the v line look. I have this unflattering square look to my face. I definitely want to get a genioplasty but I wonder if it's enough as a standalone procedure. Perhaps jaw surgery or other types of treatment could also help with my face frontal and profile view?
I have considerable asymmetry in my jaw and looking for a way to fix this in combination with fixing my retruded maxilla. I'll be going for jaw surgery but I'm uncertain whether I need upper jaw expansion or getting the lower jaw pushed slightly backward. My goal is to achieve the best cosmetic transformation possible
I am considering jaw surgery not purely for cosmetic reasons, but also for health reasons. I am a chronic mouth breather, I frequently bite myself, my right jaw joint pops loudly (TMJ), I have trouble breathing at night, my jaw is assymetrical. I am also considering a genioplasty to bring forward my recessed chin. Lastly, I have wrinkles around my eyes and am also thinking that a blepharoplasty may help correct that. Would I be a good candidate for these surgeries?
I have a 4 mm overjet and 25% overbite and was diagnosed with Class 2 malocclusion. As an adult, I am currently in braces and my teeth are in good health for the most part (tons of root canals but I have all my teeth). I have very slight TMJ, small airway and used to grind under stress. I am somewhat scared of the risks but was wondering if the pros of doing a mandibular advancement (~3 mm) outweighs the risks of permanent numbness and a tough recovery. Love to get your thoughts!
I am 19 year old male with reccessed chin(or jaw not sure) and an overbite. What is the best way to get this corrected in my case? Im not sure whether BSSO/Bimax should be used to correct my occlusion or Braces to correct the overbite and then sliding genioplasty to move the chin forward would be a more reasonable solution. Please feel free to suggest anything I have not mentioned. Also I would prefer ostetomies to implants.
I'm 29. I've class 3 and a bit narrow upper jaw. But I dont suffer from any snoring or apnea. Doctor thought SARPE is not necessary. I use Damon braces. He said they could help that too. But I've aesthetic concerns about narrowness. To me SARPE and LeFort I are nearly the same things. So I wonder if palatal expansion can be performed during the maxillary advancement operation. Like not in couples weeks by expander but at once by separating the palate and screwing them in final position.
