I wear a size 38D cup. I've two spinal fusions; L4-Sacrum and C4-6. I stay as physically active and ride a recumbent bike regularly. I've nursed my four kids. I've chronic pain and I dislike taking pain meds due to the damage they do to my stomach. My first fusion was 15 years ago and I am facing additional surgery and hardware as I have two more bulging discs above my lumbar fusion. My question is do you believe a breast reduction would benefit me and mitigate the pain?

At
size 40 each 300 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size change. If your measurement is accurate, you would
require 2,700 grams removed from each breast to achieve a DD.The largest breast I have ever performed was
a 44 M and I did remove approximately that amount to achieve her goal of a 42
DD...
You need to call your insurance company to see what the criteria is for getting it covered. You also need to get a list of providers that are on your insurance that may be available for consultation. These are the first to get you on the road to a better life.
Sorry that you're being aggravated during her recovery. You might want to try some topical calamine lotion. This may reduce the itching. It sounds like you may have a little bit of hyperactive nerves at this point also that just need to settle down over time. Please revisit, get an examination...
