Will Amerigroup pay for breast reduction or lift?

I am going on 10 years of chronic upper back pain. The pain is under my shoulder blades up through the middle to my neck. I am 4'9" wearing a d cup but i have pendulum breast that sag and my back supports them. I have seen doctors about this and most that take my insurance do not care. I can not take the pain any more it has taken over my life and I cannot get a job or play at the park with my kids.

You need to call your insurance company to see what the criteria is for getting it covered. You also need to get a list of providers that are on your insurance that may be available for consultation. These are the first to get you on the road to a better life.

Good question.  Many of my patients ask this same question.  Although I do not know what all insurance companies cover, I do know that you will need documentation from physicians noting you chronic back pain and all the issues you are having because of you large breasts.  What you should do is call your insurance company and ask them what you will need for coverage and if they offer it. Good luck

The only way to get an answer to your question is to get a consult and then have the surgeon contact your insurance carrier with the necessary information and see if you would be covered.
