PRP is deposited sub dermally and sometimes in the subcutaneous plane with microneedle techniques there is minimal to almost negligible chances of injury to the hair follicle as the average length of the hair is about 5 mm.

In my opinion, the fact that your hair did get thicker from PRP treatments implies it probably was working. The new hair loss needs to be evaluated by your hair loss expert. I would suggest two biopsies and dermoscopy.. One biopsy from the top of your head and one from the posterior...
