Hi thanks for your question. Typically there are no contraindications when it comes to most vaccines and Botox, but because the Covid vaccine is new it's difficult to give a definitive answer. I would recommend prioritizing the Covid vaccine, and then just maybe holding off a week or so before you get Botox and making sure you don't have any adverse reactions to the vaccine, just to be on the safe side. Be sure to let your Botox provider know that you've had the vaccine as well. You may want to speak to your physician if you still have concerns.
Thank you for your question. The truth is that we really don't know at this point, since the vaccine will be brand new to all of us. I recommend getting the vaccine first, as this is essential to your health and safety. As long as you don't have any unusual side effects, you may be fine to have your Botox injections a few days later. Make sure your injector knows about your vaccine and always work with a board-certified, experienced injector to ensure an optimal outcome.
Hello, thank you for your question. You should be ok to get both on the same week, schedule a consultation to see a local expert injector with extensive experience and training to ensure optimal results and safety.
there is no way to know the answer to this but its pretty safe to say that it shouldn't make a difference. botox really doesn't get absorbed. and anyone using botox should be dermarolling at the same time to get the most improvement at home with collagen production (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.
There really is no reason why you could not have them in the same week. However, you would probably be the first person to do so. Eventually many will likely be in a situation where they have had a Botox treatment and a covid vaccine in the same week because literally billions of people will eventually get the Covid vaccine. Ask your self if you are feeling lucky? If not, get your Covid vaccine and schedule your Botox after you know you have done just fine with your Covid vaccine. You need that vaccine for survival. You may feel the same about your Botox service but the truth is that is merely helpful.
There is no contraindication with Botox and Covid19 vaccine, it's okay to get these in the same week. Always consult a board certified medical practitioner for your Botox needs.
There is no known contraindication from having Botox and the COVID vaccine in the same week. If you have concerns, you could postpone your Botox treatment.
There is no known risk to getting botox before or after the COVID-19 Vaccine or any other vaccines. Goodluck!
Hello and thank you for your question. Currently there have been no reported side effects with botox and the covid vaccine- so yes. Filler are slightly different and you would want to wait for a while before having them after the COVID vaccine. I hope that answers your question and please always seek a qualified and experienced medical professional for treatment, best wishes
It would be unwise to have any elective medical procedure while infected with COVID as it unnecessarily puts medical personnel at risk of becoming infected themselves. You should follow the guidelines of your local public health officials as to when you are safe to re-enter public life. That is...
The effects of Botox will gradually wear off over three to four months. Your lips will return the look you had prior to injection. Contact your injector for an evaluation of the crease that bothers you. Depending on the type/location a touch up may improve it.
Hi @livharris45. I would recommend starting Botox at an early age for preventative reasons. Small amounts of Botox at a young age should not cause any consequences in the future. Best of luck, Dr. Nima
