Can I use tanning lotion after final V Beam treatment?

Excellent question. The reason you are asked not to use these products before treatment is because they can affect the outcome of the procedure. Once you have completed your treatments, you should be able to apply the tanning lotion without concern over complications. In my opinion, it would be fine to use a self tanner after your final V beam treatment, but it is always best to ask the physician treating you about post treatment guidelines.  

You asked a good question since you can't use self tanner before most lasers.  The reason that you can't use self tanners before lasers is that the laser will perceive the tan as "real" and you can get burned.  The same thing can happen with laser hair removal and you can end up with a laser burn.  Since you will no longer be doing the V-Beam and are finished with your treatments it is safe now to  use self tanner.  Please consult an expert in lasers for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green
