All swelling related to rhinoplasty can take up to a year to fully come down. However the majority of swelling will be down by 6 weeks or so. Then, swelling will follow gravity. First the whole nose will be swollen. Then the dorsum will come down first, and the tip last.
Swelling on the dorsum of the nose after rhinoplasty can take weeks to months to subside, but generally the swelling goes down faster on the dorsum than the tip of the nose.
Dear Banemarice, Swelling on the dorsum of the nose aftera rasping procedure will usually subside after 1-2 weeks. I believe that in person you would look goodenough to be in public places within a week after the procedure. However, in photographs it may take up 3-4months before most of the swelling is completely gone and pictures will lookvery presentable.
Thank you for your question. After a rhinoplasty it can take several months for the swelling to subside. You may not realize the final shape of your nose for up to 12 months after surgery. Give the your nose time to evolve. I recommend that you follow up with your plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns.
Dear Banemarice, The swelling usually goes down quickly if you simply had some rasping of the dorsum. You will see the majority dissipate in the first few weeks with the residual taking anywhere from a three to six months. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.

It sounds as if ;l you need an examination by a well trained rhinoplastic surgeon and you might benefit from a rhinoplasty with correction of the deviated septum and correction of your turbinates. This is common surgery and can help you.
When it comes to nasal surgery, six weeks is not a very long time. I am certain there is still considerable swelling in the area! This is causing the tightness and limitation of movement that you describe. I have no doubt that over time things will improve, gradually. It may take many...
While there is still some swelling, I believe the unsatisfactory profile is due to what we call a “polly beak” or “supratip” deformity. It is usually because the surgeon removed excessive bone from the nasal dorsum. In any event, it can be fixed, but most likely will require additional surgery...
