The price can very between difference plastic surgery practices.  I would say the average cost is $75.00-$200.00.  The price for consultation in our Raleigh, N.C. practice is $75.00 which is deducted from the cost of your procedure if you schedule surgery.Best of luck,

Hello!  The cost of a cosmetic consultation will vary among the office/surgeon.  Some surgeons will choose to charge a fee, while other will have free consultations.  Some will use the fee, if charged, towards any surgical procedure if booked.  The answer will vary with each surgeon.  Call ahead and see the costs with surgeons that you are wishing to consult with.  Best wishes!

You get what you pay for. In NYC, most consultations with a board certified plastic surgeon will run about $200 and this money is credited toward the surgical procedure. In order for you to get your monies worth, come with a list of questions and stay until every question is answered. Remember that if you don't like the surgeon, don't sign up with them because they charged a consult fee. look at it as an education in what you don't want.

Most plastic surgeons with full schedules will charge about $100 for a consultation. In most cases, that fee can be used toward surgery. 

Our consultations are complimentary, but many offices will charge a fee that is often refunded if you choose to proceed with surgery.  Consultations are important for you to learn about the surgery you are considering as well as if you are a good candidate for the procedure.  We are always happy to hear when a patient has been to more than one consultation as that usually results in a well informed patient since each surgeon and his/her technique varies.  Good luck!

Some plastic surgeons offer no charge consultations but this may not be universal in all areas of the country.  

There is no universal rate for a cosmetic plastic surgery consultation.  Some surgeons offer free consultations - sometimes with a nurse - while others do charge.  I am in the charge for a consultation camp.  I do my consultations myself, spend time appropriate to the issue, and feel that it is reasonable to charge for my time and experience.  I charge $50, which I think is a good value, but others in larger markets may charge more.  If a consult is done under insurance, expect to be billed the insurance rate for a new patient visit.
