I would really like to have permalip implants but I feel it won't achieve the fullness I desire I'm wondering if you could place 2 5mm lip implants into the same lip ?
Answer: Permalip implants - two implants in the same lip? Thank you for your question. Lip Implants may be a reasonable option for those individuals who are seeking permanent lip enhancement or for those who have not been satisfied with the longevity of effect afforded by hyaluronic acid fillers. The Perma Facial Implant is an FDA cleared device for permanent facial augmentation. Using two implants in the same lip would not likely produce a favorable result. Speak with your surgeon about other options available for lip augmentation.

Answer: Permalip plus filler! Thank you for your question, regarding the feasibility of having two Permalip lip implants too achieve the desired fullness. I would typically advise that this wouldn't be the best idea. You can have the biggest Permalip implant 5mm and then if you wanted your lips bigger, after a few months you can have lip filler placed onto. This should give you the desired volume, while being safe! Alternatively, fat grafting is another option, however may have to repeat if the fat doesn't harvest. This could become very costly. Please make sure you find a reputable and qualified plastic surgeon who can assess you properly to give you a realistic idea of what outcome you can achieve. All The Best

Answer: The short answer is no I think that's a really bad idea. There is nothing to hold them in place and will likely shift. For really full lips, consider fat grafting, but 1 round of grafting won't do it. Fat grafting works great, but be prepared to repeat it every few months until you get the size you want. Good luck!

Answer: I would really like to have permalip implants but I feel it won't achieve the fullness I desire can u place 2, 5mm? Hi, I have performed many lip augmentation procedures using dermal fillers or lip implants for over 30 years. Non smiling photos of your lips would help in the evaluation. The upper lip should be approximately 75 % the size of the lower lip for the lips to appear balanced. The lips can be augmented using a dermal filler or a Permalip implant. Dermal filers and lip implants offer a much more reliable volume for augmentation of the lips than permanent fillers or fat injections which are associated with increased, unwanted, side effects. Implants are typically not "stacked" as they can't be secured to one another. There's also the issue of overwhelming the existing lip tissue that would result in extrusion of the implant. In other words, there is a finite amount of implant volume that can and should be placed in each lip. 10mm's of anything would far exceed that ability in my humble opinion. For additional lip volume, following Perma lip implant placement, your best course of action is to have the lips filled with an off the shelf dermal filler. Whatever volume is derived from the implants is a permanent enhancement which is the main benefit of having lip augmentation with implants versus dermal fillers. That however doesn't mean that there's an unlimited degree of augmentation, to the lips, that an implant can or should provide. Hope this helps.
