Will High Profile Implants give me too much fullness? Ie. A stuck on look? I'm having 380CC HP gummy implants dual-plane procedure with inframmary incision. Want to look naturally full. Also stretch marks? As you can see they're quiet marked - what happens to these stretch marks when an implant is added?
Answer: Will High Profile Implants Look Too Fake/Unatural? Having too much fullness or a fake/unnatural look should not be a concern since the dual-plane approach will be used. This approach entails placing the implant at the same level of your existing breasts. This means that your overall result will be larger low lying breasts. My concern for you will be having to re-do the surgery because the problem has yet to be addressed. You need a lift. Breast implants do not lift breasts. You seem to have enough tissue where if you only had a lift - implants would not be needed. I know most women shy away from lifts because of the scarring involved and the less than satisfactory results. But, new technology/techniques have been developed to provide women with maximum lift (upper pole fullness without implants) and minimal scars. Please do your due diligence and do your research. This site is an excellent start. Remember that implants are heavy and will stretch your tissues even further making your current issues worse and harder to correct. I hope this helps.Kindest regards,Gary Horndeski M.D.

Answer: Breast Implants Thank you for your question.Yes, high profile implants always look more unnatural than moderate and moderate plus profile implants. What is your base width diameter. More information is needed to adequately address your questions. To be sure, return to see your PS or see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery. I hope this helps.

Answer: Will High Profile Implants Look Too Fake/Unatural? Thank you for the question and pictures. Unfortunately, online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific enough advice (in regards to the best breast implant size/profile) to be truly helpful. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “naturally full” or "C or D cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. The use of computer imaging may be helpful during the communication process. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). I hope this, and the attached link and video (dedicated to breast augmentation surgery), helps.

Answer: Will High Profile Implants Look Too Fake/Unatural? The best cosmetic result in any particular breast augmentation patient depends on a variety of factors, including: your individual anatomy, realistic expectations, a thorough discussion with the plastic surgeon about the options, and an understanding of the pros and cons of any particular implant choice. Proper sizing is not just about the number of cc’s. The thickness of your tissue, breast dimensions which include the width, height, and projection, as well as chest wall width all need to be considered when choosing an implant. Trying on implant “sizers” of various shapes and volumes while wearing a tight t-shirt, bra, or bathing suit at a preoperative visit will help you and your surgeon choose the optimal implant. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Stretch marks may remain the same, be less obvious or occasionally be more obvious after a breast augmentation. There is no way to predict the outcome of the stretch marks pre-operativly. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: High Profile...too full? That is ultimately a question only you can answer. On the plus side, you have a lot of natural breast tissue. This will always help the results look more natural. You do have some glandular ptosis, or great hanging below the fold. Old stretch marks will not be markedly affected by the implants. Good luck!
