I had Picosure for facial rejuvenation 2 days ago. The day after my face broke out with red acne like bumps on my face. I hoped it would get better but the 2nd day after the acne is worse! Is this normal after pico sure and how long will this last? Also I was very red and swollen immediately following the treatment. Many posts on this site say you can return to work - i wasn't able to because my face was very red and a little swollen and obvious that I had had a procedure done.

I would be cautious, the pico can also cause depigmentation. I suggest a formal evaluation. post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from lasers is best treated with low level peels or microsecond lasers (like genesis) and skin lightening creams. Best, Dr. Emer.
I have not seen this happen with my Focus PicoSure. My best advice would be to get right back in to see your doctor about this. Sometimes skin needs to be pre-treated and post-treated with skin lighteners (for example hydroquinone but there are others) prior to any laser....
