Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. It appears that this is a brown lesion which may be best approached surgically.  However a final recommendation should be made following examination by someone who has experience in use of both surgery and lasers.

This can be easily treated with laser or electrosurgery.  I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist for treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.

If the spot is pigmented (brown), even in color and hasn't changed, it may do well with a pigmention laser like the QsNdYAG.  If it is a true nevus (mole), there is a higher possibility of it recurring, but it can be treated again if that happens.  If it is red, then a vascular laser like the VBeam pulsed dye laser can be effective.  See a cosmetic physician to evaluate the spot and then advise you on treatment.
