laser induced skin discoloration can take a very long time to heal on its own. be patient it will lighten. Acne scars are tough to treat and require multiple treatment modalities depending upon the shape, type and depths of the scars. I mostly use a combined approach of Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, submission or surgical excision followed by either fat grafting or fillers as needed

This needs lightening creams and time to heal.  I am sorry this happened to you. When physicians are confronted with a scar choices of treatment methods are based on the scars features and location more so then what caused the scar. For example, a scar that is red can be treated with a vascular lesion laser. Depressed scars can be elevated and  elevated scars can be flattened. You get the idea.
