My nasal bride is gradually growing as i age i had a normal aligned nasal bone now there is a bump and swollen bridge idk what to do im desperate to fix my nose

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a rhinoplasty. Osteotomies could be performed to narrow your mid-nasal vault. Make sure you are going to a surgeon with hundreds of long-term before and after pictures on their website with standardized lighting and standardized backgrounds. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Changes to your bridge can occur over time but tend to be very subtle. However, in the photos that you provided, the changes appear to be very noticeable and warrant further investigation.

It's worth separating a true hump from swelling, though. A hump that is firm, painless, and stays the same from day to day is usually part of the structure of the nose. A bridge that feels soft, tender, warm, or puffier on some days than others, or that comes with congestion, nosebleeds, or trouble breathing, should be checked by a doctor first, because that points to inflammation or another problem rather than a cosmetic shape issue.

If it turns out to be a structural hump, Rhinoplasty can lower and smooth the bridge by carefully shaving down the bone and trimming the cartilage, then narrowing the bones if needed so the nose stays straight and balanced with your face. I'd encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon so your nose can be examined in person and the cause of the change can be confirmed before planning any surgery.

From photos alone it is hard to tell what is behind this, and a bridge that seems to be growing or swelling over time deserves an examination first, because the cause matters. Often it is simply a dorsal hump of bone and cartilage becoming more noticeable as the face matures, or the effect of an old injury that healed with extra bone or a slight shift. Less commonly, a slowly enlarging swelling has another cause, such as a cyst, inflammation or a bony growth, which should be ruled out before any cosmetic plan. If it proves to be a structural hump, a rhinoplasty that reduces and refines the bone and cartilage is the usual approach. I would recommend an in-person assessment with a board-certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon near you who performs rhinoplasty regularly.
