The first step would be to solve the problem of a short frenulum, which is the cause of the diastema. In our clinic we perform the frenectomy technique, which consists of removing and cutting the frenulum. Once this technique is performed, a visit with our cosmetic specialist, will be recommended and a specific treatment plan will be made to achieve a harmonious smile. In this particular case, a gingivectomy would be necessary to improve the size of the teeth, and once the gum is healed, a dental bonging would be done to close the diastema

Diastema is often associated with a moderate to severe frenum attachment: The fastest resolution is to release the frenum, contour the gum line surrounding the front teeth and then do bonding to close the gap after the gum heals. All the best to you!
