I am 20 years old male from UK, I have gaps in my teeth that I have been self consious about for. along time, should I do that resin treatment (dental bonding or braces?

The decision between braces or bonding depends on several factors, such as your bite type, budget, time, aesthetic expectations. In your case I would recommend Invisalign, since in a short time you will see an improvement in gap closure, and at the same time the fact that Invisalign is removable would be comfortable for you.

What is best for you will be different than what may be best for another person, depending on your bite, whether you have a frenum attachment or swallowing habits contributing to your gap or not. If Invisalign is being used, it is important to not close the gap by decreasing the arch size and retracting the front teeth back towards the throat because it will limit the airway, even 1mm retraction can have a significant volumetric effect on tongue space and airway (breathing and sleep quality). You can ask your dentist to redistribute the gap to the back of the laterals, canines or 1st premolars and either maintain the gap in a less visible area with a night time retainer or bond the gaps with composite. Other option is to close the front 2 teeth with bonding, but in this case the artistic skill of the dentist working on the 2 most visible front teeth must be top notch. Ask for photos of his or her work to make sure that you will be happy with the result! All the best to you!
