What's wrong with my lower face? (Photo)

Hello, I've noticed something off about my lower face. I'm unsure if it's a weak chin, jaw, or the skin around my neck. I've previously had liposuction for my double chin (years ago), so it's not fat-related. I'm specifically concerned about the skin under my chin and the appearance of my jaw. Thanks for the help!

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. The images suggest that the liposuction has addressed the volume under the skin and has revealed the contours of the digastric muscles and submandibular glands situated deep to the platysma. Reducing the volume along the jawline inevitably raises slightly the perceived position of the lower jaw and exposes more of the volume underneath it.

There are two main solutions to your concerns. One would be to restore some of the volume along the jawline, which would also camouflage some of the contours under the chin. This can be carried out with fat transfer or filler. The other option is to use a deep plane neck lift intervention to reduce the volume under the chin, which is predominantly deep to the platysma muscles.
