Is it true Botox and fillers should be used together for crows feet? If so, are they used together on the same day? Which filler is best used with the Botox?
Answer: Best Options for Crow’s Feet Thank you very much for your question. You can find a dramatic improvement in the appearance of Crow’s Feet, or the fine lines at the corner of your eyes, using Botox. The injectable is an excellent choice for this area, as it will relax targeted muscles and smooth the area for up to three months. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, experienced in Botox and noninvasive techniques. At this time, he/she can perform an in-person evaluation of your skin, and recommend the best treatment for eliminating your Crow’s Feet.

Answer: Is It True Botox and Fillers Needed for Crows Feet? Botox Alone Resolves Most Crow's Feet I've had very good success in using Botox alone to resolve crow's feet. Once the periocular muscles have been relaxed, the overlying skin smoothes out and you generally don't see the wrinkles anymore. If the wrinkles are still visible, my next step would be the use of a gentle hyaluronic acid filler or laser resurfacing, as deeply etched wrinkles suggest that the skin has experienced a significant loss of elasticity and collagen. Lasers can stimulate the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, so not only would your skin be resurfaced, thus minimizing the look of the etched wrinkle, your skin quality would also improve over time. The Botox will keep the wrinkle from being created again. Botox should be repeated every three to four months to start. Please consult a board-certified dermatologist to find out which treatment plan is best in your case.

Answer: Crow's feet treatment Hello! There are several options for treating crow's feet, the pesky lines that occur at the corner of the eyes. First, protect your skin- sunscreen and using sunglasses will minimize sundamage, which makes all wrinkles worse. Treatments such as chemical peels can improve the tightness of the skin and take away fine lines. Botox is maintenance for keeping the crow's feet at bay. It takes up to 10 days for full effect, but you will continue to see smoothing of the area if you keep up with the Botox (it typically lasts around 3 months). Occasionally we need to do filler for very deep lines, but typically do not use that unless the other treatments - including skin care- have failed due to cost and the potential for irregular contour. good luck!

Answer: Botox for crows feet Botox works well to paralyze the muscles that contract around the eye (orbicularis oculi) and create the radial lines (crows feet). If deep lines remain in the area when the muscles are no longer contracting, small amounts of a less hydrophilic (water attracting) filler can help (off label use of Volbella or Belotero). In some cases, fractional Laser might be a better option to reduce the lines.
