Can invisalign cause an abscess?

56 years old. On 12th tray. Never have had an abscess let alone a tooth ache. Lower back molar or molars with filling in it. Feel bump on lower gum next to jaw.

if abscess is there , its due to any other reason. visit yr dentist . as u r saying its back tooth with filling so there r chances of secondary infection.

Invisalign can not cause an abscess of the nerve/blood vessels of a tooth.  It is natural to feel aches  from any orthodontic movement including Invisalign. You should schedule an appointment with your dentist immediately if you are noticing an abscess or raised area and pain next to a tooth.
